All original maps published by Every City in the USA are now explicitly available under CC BY 4.0, including state-map builder output, national and state downloads, Growth Atlas maps, the homepage coverage map, and city locator maps. Reuse notices now sit beside map downloads, and generated SVGs carry license, source, and modification guidance in their metadata. State-map generators use a short suggested credit that links the site name to the Every City in the USA homepage and links the CC BY 4.0 license. Publishers may edit the credit or qualify links with nofollow or another rel value; a link that passes ranking credit is not required. The Hawaii state-map source correctly names its ACS 2020–2024 5-year data. No public city facts or datasets changed.

Population ranking titles now state their sortable and filterable coverage, state rankings include their complete city lists, and city profile titles lead with the current population before naming area and density. Added a least-crowded ranking that reverses the qualifying density universe, with its own low-density ranks, direct answer, methodology, structured list, and CSV export.

Added a nationwide map of the 100 largest Vintage 2025 Census places and completed one map builder plus three reusable geographic-layer downloads for every state. Corrected the builder so villages, boroughs, consolidated cities, and other legal place types remain visible after interaction. Hawaii now maps 163 Census places using ACS 2020–2024 5-year population and 2025 Gazetteer locations, rather than implying the single PEP record is complete statewide coverage. The canonical 19,483-place dataset did not change.

Added contextual paths from population-band pages to the complete smallest-to-largest ranking, from selected city climate sections to the annual-rainfall ranking, and from Minnesota lists to the Minneapolis profile. Raw CSV responses now carry a noindex directive and download header, while their HTML dataset pages remain indexable and the files remain available to users.

Population and smallest-to-largest pages now cover all 19,483 included Census city/place records instead of stopping at 500. Added a complete Census Gazetteer land-area ranking. Weather, density, and income pages now include every qualifying record and state their coverage rules. Titles no longer use source-vintage years, while exact dates and releases remain visible on each page.

Added 150 city profiles for the next demand-ordered cohort, covering cities with about 97,000 to 139,000 residents. Each city also has a demographics page and a cost-of-living page built from the same existing federal datasets and quality gate. This release adds no new page template or data source.

Site-wide presentation pass: city profile, population-band, state-list, and ranking page headlines now state their headline figure directly (for example "Mesa, AZ Population (2025): 513,656"), and ranking and metro pages open by naming the top-ranked place with its value instead of methodology-only text. Fixed a comparison-page wording bug where two cities in the same state repeated the state name instead of noting the figures apply to both, and restored the missing "Reported crime (FBI UCR)" section link in the methodology table of contents. On mobile, city pages no longer load pre-scrolled past the navigation, and the decorative state-outline map no longer pushes the key statistics below the first screen. No public dataset, city fact, CSV export, or methodology rule changed.

Launched demographics pages at /cities/<city>/demographics/ covering 200 cities: age and median age, sex, race and Hispanic or Latino origin, households and household size, place of birth and languages spoken at home, and educational attainment. Every figure comes from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey 2020–2024 (5-year estimates) and is shown with its margin of error. This added four ACS tables (B01001 sex by age, B01002 median age, B11001 household type, B25010 average household size). City profiles and cost-of-living pages also expanded from 50 to 200 cities, and 40 city-to-city cost-of-living comparison pages launched for high-demand city pairs. No previously published city facts changed — this is new coverage built on the existing sourced datasets.

Added an indexable Census-backed random city tool at /random-usa-city-generator/. The tool uses the existing official city dataset, supports population and geography filters, exports sourced city batches, and avoids fictional city-name generation.

Added this public data-update log to the generated sitemap and documented when future agents should update it. The June monthly source scout warning was resolved in the source registry; no public city facts, CSV exports, or methodology rules changed because of that healthcheck.

Launched the indexable compare hub, budget picker, cost-of-living comparison landing, and about 50 city cost-of-living sub-pages. Pair-specific comparison URLs remain noindex; city cost-of-living pages preserve source-grain labels instead of implying one city-grain composite score.
