Population figures are pop_2024 from the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program, Vintage 2024, reference date July 1, 2024. National rank is based on population across all 19,479 cities in the dataset.
All change figures (4-yr Δ columns) are computed within Vintage 2024 only: April 2020 census base to July 2024 estimate. This site does not publish a single 2010→2024 growth figure because Vintage 2019 and Vintage 2024 use different methodologies and reference populations — mixing them would produce misleading numbers.
