Showing the first 500 cities by population before the interactive table loads all 641 cities in this band for filtering, sorting, and CSV export. Rank column reflects the national rank within all qualifying cities.

Methodology · sources and limits

Census Vintage 2025 · within-vintage growth only.

Population figures are pop_current from the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program, Vintage 2025, reference date July 1, 2025. National rank is based on population across all 19,483 cities in the dataset.

All change figures (5-yr Δ columns) are computed within Vintage 2025 only: April 2020 census base to July 2025 estimate. This site does not publish a single 2010→2025 growth figure because Vintage 2019 and Vintage 2025 use different methodologies and reference populations — mixing them would produce misleading numbers.

The filter is inclusive on both ends: a city of exactly 50,000 or exactly 150,000 qualifies.
